English Lessons:
Most Au Pairs arrive in the UK keen to improve their English. If they are at home all day alone or looking after the children their language skills are not always stretched enough to achieve the improvement they are looking for. At Nannies and Childcare, in Bishopston, we run English classes during mid-morning sessions which are usually a good time for most Au Pairs, as it fits in after the school drop-off. These lessons are reasonably priced and offer a social occasion for au pairs to meet other au pairs. The numbers are small, no more than 8 students. The lessons are not exclusively for au pairs so they will meet other young people as well, from many different countries, who are in Bristol to work and to improve their English. There is free tea and coffee, and biscuits!
The course is run by Jenny Dance, a Cambridge Examiner who supervises the tutors and helps to prepare the students for the Cambridge First Certificate, which is a qualification many au pairs want to attain as it marks a high level of achievement in English and will help the students with their future careers.

The English lessons are not restricted to the au pairs that Nannies and Childcare has placed, but are open to all, including non-au pairs!

Monday and Wednesday: 10.30 - 12.30
Tuesday and Thursday: 10.30 - 12.30

The lessons are run from Nannies and Childcare, 1 Monmouth Road, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8LF.
English Lesson Prices:
There is a one-off registration fee of £40 and then the lessons are £6 per hour and are paid half-termly.
